The Urologist - Andrologist Georgios Garaganis maintains a state-of-the-art private practice in Haidari, fully equipped with cutting-edge technology machinery [urorometers, ultrasound machines, etc.] to allow a thorough examination, accurate and personalized diagnosis for any disease of the urinary system. In collaboration with his experienced and fully trained medical team, Urologist Achilleas Karafotias and Anesthesiologist Niki Kantilieraki, the physician provides patients with high-quality health services, based on patient care, with immediacy and sensitivity, using the most advanced medical equipment.
Indicatively, Mr. Garagani's practice is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment:
Urometers are the devices through which the Uroflowmetry is carried out. The physician will show the device to the patient and explain that he must urinate in their funnel. The patient urinates in a particular container, connected to a computer, which records the volume and speed of urine flow. To perform this test, no special preparation of the patient is necessary, except for a full cyst in order to urinate.
Mr. Garagani's practice is equipped with high-quality ultrasound machines and technology. Ultrasounds can be used to examine different organs in the body. Indicatively: Ultrasound kidney - bladder - prostate, scrotum triplex, penile triplex, and transrectal prostate ultrasound.
The flexible cystoscope is a thin and flexible instrument that is inserted through the urethra into the bladder. The flexible cystoscope is combined with a light source.
Laser for Wart Cauterization
Laser with the CO2 device gives us the ability to treat warts in a targeted way. It is a painless method since it is performed after using a local anesthetic cream and does not leave scars. In addition, it has a concise recovery time compared to the other methods and offers immediate and better results.
It is performed under local anesthesia, and lidocaine cream is applied to the penis 40 minutes before the injection. Platelets are isolated from the amount of blood pumped from the hand, and fluid is injected into the penis through a syringe with a tiny needle in specific places.
Dilation of urethral strictures
Dilation of the urethra is the most common technique of reprisal urethral strictures, as is urethrotomy. The purpose of dilation is to stretch the stricture-scar dynamically. Urethral catheters, metal/elastic dilation bougies, and balloon dilation catheters are used for the procedure.
